Circumstantial Worship

My study is stepping on my toes this morning! I am soo guilty of allowing the dark times of life to hinder my worship. I sit through service sulking, pouting ‘woe is me’. We need to be more like the early church and worship with our entirety! They worshiped no matter the circumstance, no matter the pain or suffering it might bring them. We are free to worship as we please today, without persecution and we still won’t do it. There’s always an excuse…”the music is too loud, I can’t focus”…”the crying baby is distracting, I can’t zone in”…”life is just too hard right now, I can’t worship”…etc. It’s in these times ESPECIALLY that we should be drawing closer to God and instead, we allow ourselves to fall farther away. Let’s dig deeper and put our focus on Christ instead of our circumstances. Give God control, he’s writing our stories, not us. ❤️

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Here’s the link to the site I buy a lot of my studies from. This particular study is from the Worship: from Eden to eternity book. You save $5 if you use my link.
